PRIVACY POLICY

Your research should not become your profile.

This policy explains the limited information Thesyne Research collects, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Effective August 1, 2026 · United States beta

Information we collect

When you open or run company research, we may record the ticker, research-job status, timestamps, source and model metadata, and the version of the disclosure you acknowledged. If you use Portfolio Watchlist, we store the company symbols you choose so the list can follow your account across devices. If you explicitly enable Weekly Brief email, we also store that preference and a limited delivery record to prevent duplicate messages. The hosting service may attach an account or signed guest-session identifier needed to operate and secure the service.

If you choose to create an account, the managed identity service processes your full name, email address, identity-provider identifier, and confirmation that you meet the adult-age requirement and accepted the account terms. THESYNE never receives your Google or Apple password. For secure service administration, THESYNE keeps a restricted account directory containing account name, email, account identifier and recent sign-in activity; it is accessible only to authorized founders and is never included in product analytics. If you purchase a membership, Stripe processes your payment details, billing address, invoices and transaction risk signals. THESYNE stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, billing status and paid-period dates, but does not receive or store your full card number.

If you contact support, we collect the email address, category and message you choose to submit. Infrastructure providers may automatically process basic device, network and diagnostic information, including IP address and browser information, for delivery, security and abuse prevention.

What we do not ask for

Portfolio Watchlist does not connect to a brokerage or request credentials, bank details, share quantities, purchase prices, account value, income, full date of birth, phone number, risk tolerance, contacts, location, photos or microphone access.

How we use information

  • Deliver, refresh and troubleshoot company research.
  • Save your Portfolio Watchlist and maintain research access limits across devices.
  • Build the in-app Weekly Brief and, only when you opt in, send the same source-linked summary by email.
  • Maintain disclosure records and an auditable research history.
  • Respond to support requests and prevent abuse.
  • Understand aggregate product reliability without selling personal information.

Service providers

Information may be processed by infrastructure, database, identity, email, payment, market-data and AI research providers strictly to operate the product. These providers currently include Stripe for membership billing, OpenAI services and the configured licensed market-data provider. Their role and the information sent to them are limited to the relevant product function.

Sharing and advertising

We do not sell personal information. The beta does not use personal information for targeted advertising and does not build a personal investment profile. We may disclose limited information when required by law, to protect the service, or during a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention and security

Research-job, consent and support records are retained only while reasonably needed for service operation, compliance, dispute handling and security, generally no longer than 24 months for the beta unless a longer period is legally required. No internet service can promise absolute security, but access is restricted and sensitive provider credentials remain server-side.

Your choices

You may use the core research directory as a guest or create a separate THESYNE account to carry access across devices. Weekly Brief email is off by default and can be enabled or disabled at any time from Watchlist; the in-app brief remains available either way. Signed-in users can permanently delete their account, Watchlist, saved research access records and linked Stripe customer profile directly from the account panel. You can also request access, correction or deletion of support and identifiable research records through the Support page. Transaction, fraud-prevention or legal records may still be retained by payment and infrastructure providers where required by law.

Age and changes

Thesyne is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. Account creation requires an adult-age confirmation, but the beta does not request or retain a full date of birth. Material policy changes will be dated and presented clearly before they take effect.
